Personalities like Hadi Awang and Nasharudin continue to entertain thoughts of having ‘talks’ with UMNO BARU with the added tinge of forming a unity government.
I found the following comment in TMI (read here) which may prove ominous to PAS in the next general election:

If one were to read this, is it not possible that the current PAS ‘top duo’ are just taking the ‘lazy fast-track’ option to Putrajaya which UMNO BARU will conveniently accommodate in order to remain ‘top dog’ in Malaysian politics. A resolution to contest only 40 parliamentary seats (especially Felda communities in Pahang, Johor, Perak and Terengganu) in the next GE will provide less than one fifth representation in the Dewan Rakyat even if they win all.
In other words, PAS must share power with UMNO BARU in the next Federal administration. It means that PAS, or rather Hadi and Nasha, are still not confident nor have the ability to replace UMNO BARU at the national level.
Otherwise, they should be planning to contest in 79 seats held presently by UMNO BARU. Win all these, then they have the electoral mandate to speak with the King about installing a PAS PM.
