Read TMI’s “Shame of the decade: The Perak power grab“.
And I’m reproducing in full the comment submitted by ‘Aries’ (to the TMI article) which succinctly encapsulates the incident –
“I remember reading about a man who, in his quest to keep his child busy and to stop the little boy from interrupting him with his work, gave the boy a piece of paper with a picture of the WORLD MAP on one side of it.
Incidentally he was not aware of what was on the reverse side of the paper.
Before the father gave the picture to his boy, he tore it up into pieces, and to keep the kid busy, had asked him to fix back the piece of puzzle he had so ingeniously created. The smart father thought it would take the little boy hours to fix the picture by which time he would have finished his work.
Within minutes the little boy returned to his father saying he had the picture fixed. To the surprise of the father, indeed, he found that the picture was all fixed back – which was the MAP of the world. The astonished father couldn’t believe his boy’s feat and asked how he did it in such a short time. The father believed it would have taken himself hours to fix the puzzle had he tried.
Just how did the little boy did it?
Well, incidentally, on the reverse side of the world map was a picture of the face of a man, which the father did not know of. The boy discovered that while he was fixing the puzzle.
He told his dad, ” IF THE MAN IS RIGHT, HIS WORLD WILL BE RIGHT“.
The father then found out that the picture of the man could indeed be fixed much easier than the map. He also learn that “WHEN A MAN IS RIGHT, HIS WORLD WOULD BE RIGHT TOO”.
Indeed the lesson to be learned from this story is that if people are right minded, which most of us are, their world would be right.
Unlike THOSE who refused to be right, or incapable of being right, they could make our world upside down, or even torn apart.
PERAK IS A PICTURE TORN APART BY INSENSIBLE MEN, CRAZED AND BLINDED BY POWER AND POSITIONS.
Perakians will never forget the bitter, unwarranted and blatant dishonour and injustice that had been forced into their face. Indeed liberty and justice were literally snatched from them in broad daylight. Malaysia was known as a peaceful and respectable nation, where her pluralism and multiculturalism were celebrated.
Now it seems all those had gone to the dogs.
The people know what to do in the next general election. Malaysians TIDAK MUDAH LUPA will then be the new adage, the paradigm shift that the country longs for.
BN-UMNO are desperately doing whatever that could please the rakyat now. But their ugly heads keep bopping out of the dirty waters that they had soiled.
Keep our visions clear while we march towards Putrajaya.
GE13 will be the watershed. “
